Shawn Enns Bio
Owner and Operator
At 26 years old, Shawn Enns co-founded Children Matter Community Services with aspirations of providing care and support to vulnerable populations across British Colombia. With care and support at the forefront of his vision, Shawn Enns assembled a stellar team of professionals who share the same morals and ethics to create a company that aims to fill the gaps in what’s currently available in mental health and social services.
Amanda Spurr
Program Manager
Amanda was born and raised in 100 Mile House, BC and moved to Kelowna in 2015. She then went to the Fraser Valley to complete her Social Services Diploma in 2017, which led her back to Kelowna, where she is completing her Bachelor of Social Work at The University of Victoria. Amanda has worked for six years with adults experiencing Mental Health and/or Substance use. In 2020, she expanded her work to include youth as she sees the importance of supporting youth and creating positive experiences throughout their lives.
Tarcy Rosales
Owner and Operator
Tarcicio has always had a strong passion for working with vulnerable children, youth, adults, and families. After gathering multiple years of experience supporting youth and adults with diversabilities; Tarcicio met Shawn Enns, an entrepreneurial and business minded co-worker who together founded Children Matter Community Services (C.M.C.S.) Inc.
Katelynn Nicholls
Executive Director
Katelynn is a dedicated and visionary leader, committed to values-based leadership in the social service sector. With over a decade of experience, she has tirelessly served at-risk youth and vulnerable individuals, empowering them to overcome challenges and create brighter futures.
Her ability to foster strong relationships and inspire others to join in the mission has led to lasting and transformative change within the communities she serves.
Katelynn firmly believes in the power of inclusion and diversity, recognizing that every individual’s unique experiences enrich the fabric of society. She actively champions equity and social justice, ensuring that marginalized voices are heard and uplifted.
Her dedication to continuous learning and professional growth has allowed her to stay at the forefront of innovative practices in the social service sector.
